Kaz Kuwamura is a songwriter with roots in gospel music and a sense of melody that he has created through a variety of genres including Soul, Funk, Rock, and Pops, providing songs for a wide range of artists. He started playing in a band when he was in college, and then left music to teach English at junior high school, high school, and university. After that, he started his music career again. He has participated as a backing up singer in the live performances of Nicholas Edwards, a three-time winner of the World's Greatest Hits of the Year, and Mitsuo Iwata, a well-known voice actor. His song "Love is everything" as artist Kaz Kuwamura won the J-MELO AWARD on NHK WORLD's music program "J-MELO" Breakthrough Artist showcase, as voted by viewers. The song has been aired in more than 150 countries around the world.
